Why?

We are all talking to AI more, and most of that is good. It is fast, it is patient, and it never minds being asked the same thing twice.

Something quieter is happening alongside it. The question you would have lobbed over the desk now goes to a chat window. The problem you would have moaned about by the kettle gets solved on your own at eleven at night. Everyone is getting good at this stuff in parallel, and nobody is comparing notes.

There is a catch, too. AI is happy to agree with you. It will rarely tell you that the idea is daft, that someone down the road tried it last year, or that there is a far simpler way. People will. That is worth having.

The bigger one is each other. Tools come and go, and half of what we all learned this year will be out of date by the next. The people last. The person who helped you out of a hole in March is the person you will want a word with in two years, about a job, a problem, or something that has nothing to do with AI at all.

So that is what this is for. Somewhere to put the questions back in the room, hear what is actually working for other people, and stay properly connected to the people doing the same work as you.
